unable to close database information file - 09-08-2004 , 08:23 PM

When I backup my Sybase database, it shows me the following messages:

Backup Server: 4.74.2.4: Unable to close database information file
/tmp/OMONIT_back13 : No space left on device.

I am wondering what the database information file is? Could someone help me?
