Project Description :
-The Sr IT Developer role will consist of developing and implementing
technical solutions within our Documentum group.
-The individual will be expected to partner closely with applicable
project teams to complete deliverables across the entire project life-
cycle spectrum (detailed design, configuration, development, test/
validation, etc.)
-Responsibilities include assisting with project estimates
-Developing technical designs
-Software coding
-Component assembly, testing, and debugging.
-Expected to supplement the support organization with their
demonstrated experience and expertise to resolve complex issues.
-Must have extensive knowledge of Documentum and strong Java
development experience.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
.. Perform system development functions, consistent with defined
service levels, for assigned business applications.
.. Work closely with process/design analysts to identify issues and
translate business requirements into technical design specifications
.. Perform appropriate development and testing activities
.. Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
.. Create appropriate documentation as defined by the development
methodology
.. Development of detail designs, development quality, development
deliverables, unit/system testing, debugging, and implementation of
Documentum systems projects, enhancements, and migrations/upgrades.
.. Must be committed to collaborate work with process/design teams and
other developers across a variety of application toolsets
.. Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate
scope and complexity
.. Must have demonstrated the ability to successfully work through all
phases of a project life cycle
.. Constantly seek ways to increase efficiency in the delivery of
services, while maximizing our value to the business.
.. Develop and maintains a broad understanding of current hardware and
software technologies specific to document management platforms.
.. Lead troubleshooting initiatives for issues that arise.
.. Understand and utilize IT-SS tools, standards, and methodologies for
project management, documentation, system development, and
implementation.
.. Ensure systems and deliverables are compliant with core 21CFR Part
11 requirements
.. Ensure that Medtronic's systems and the information on them are
protected in accordance with Medtronic's Information Protection.
Policies and Standards, as well as best Information Protection
practices.
“ 6+ years of IT or related development experience
”3+ years working with Documentum and associated development tools
(i.e. Java).
”Experience with general document management and document life-cycle
processes
“EMC Documentum architecture and design, development, and deployment
“Extending the Documentum Object Model and Business Objects Framework
“Documentum Foundation Services programming Java and .NET Development
using Rational and Visual Studio
“Excellent understanding of Object-Oriented Programming languages and
concepts including Design Patterns.
“Strong skills in Java, J2EE, JSP, SOAP, SOA, Web services, Documentum
Object Relational Model, Eclipse, Composer, Application Builder.
Application Installer, WDK, Webtop.


-Conducts analysis of systems specifications
-Develops conversion and system implementation plans
-Handles multiple programming and analyst assignments concurrently
-Develops code according to specifications and conducts unit testing

Skill Sets:
Required: Java, Java script, Data Structures, SQL.
Desired: Visual Basic, VB script, Forms Development.
Education Level: Undergraduate Degree.
