Tempdb is the one database that is rebuilt every time ASE
is booted. I assume it's in a JFS file and not a raw
partition? As what user are you running ASE? What user
owns the tempdb file when ASE boots? What's the ownership
of the ASE files and that directory hierarchy?

What permissions are lost? Permissions on the tempdb devices?
User permissions within tempdb?

It may have been that you had some user permissions set up within
the model database, so that tempdb had them every time it was created.
When you rebuild the master database, did you rebuild the entire
master device (and thus also model), or was it really just the master
database you rebuilt?

Hi Bret

I have to re create the master database into a new device then I
loaded from a dump that I had, and since then everytime that ASE gets
started I loose permissions into TEMPDB.

DO I need to re create MODEL again?
