Default Sybase password hash - 03-18-2006 , 01:44 AM

Hi,

I'm writing a tool to crack Oracle and MS SQL Server 2000.
I need to extend this tool to Sybase but I didn't find any information about the encryption algorithm used by Sybase to encrypt password in master.syslogins.
Any one can help I apperciateN?
Regards.

Such information has not been published. And frankly, if I would have it, I
wouldn't give it to you.

I think it is pretty insulting to accuse me of racism just because I am not
willing to help you develop a cracking program -- and frankly it is
cowardish to do that in French (too bad I can read that).

The only person (so far) making insults is ... you.

You declared someone else a racist because they didn't agree to help you
with your nefarious attempt at cracking a piece of software ... that is an
insult.

The fact that you posted in French while the rest of your post was in
English ... that was cowardice.

Your behaviour (posting an insult in French) is rather childish seeing how
this forum is accessed by folks from around the world ... many of whom can
read French and/or have access to language translators.

Posting a further (false) accusation of racism @ dbtalk.net (but not here
in comp.databases.sybase) is also cowardice.

---------

In a previous post (comp.databases.sybase) you state:

Quote:
I think you have some touble and you need to correct your language.
You may want to consider:

- correcting your English vocabulary, spelling and grammar before accussing
someone else of needing to correct their language

- finding a dictionary and looking up the definitions of racism, ignorance
and cowardice

---------

@ dbtalk.net you state:

Quote:
I'll inform all my contact arount the world to boycot you books.
Sounds like a good plan ... tell them to use their money to buy books on
manners, netiquette ... oh, and don't forget the dictionary.

Adios, and watch that the door knob doesn't hit ya in the keister on the
way out.

Well, whatcha waitin' fer ... scoot ... out the door with ya!

Ho ho ho! A cowardly prat like you wouldn't be competent to detect a
simple leading space on a password in clear text let alone reverse
engineer any genuine encryption mechanism.

*plonk*
