hi,
does anyone know of a weblink
that will let me look up if a certain platform/OS
combination is supported by ASE 12.5 ?

There is a certification matrix at Sybase's web site. Try a search.
There's also a tool where you type in a platform (or is it version?)
and it tells you the score (so to speak).
