TITLE - DBA
Be part of a DBA team that provides 24x7 production support for
internal International and Business Systems customers. Provide Oracle
and Sybase Database Administration support to numerous systems on the
UNIX and Linux platforms. This is an exciting high profile group
within the company. Participate in production support and
implementation of Sybase and Oracle databases, design and tune
critical high volume databases, and contribute to database
infrastructure enhancements. Monitor utilization and address
inappropriate data usage. Implement ongoing quality control and ensure
effective integration of databases into systems. Takes the initiative
to lead projects and has the drive for success.
Required / Desired Skills
- 3-5 years of experience administering Sybase Databases
- Sybase Database Administration Required 3 Years
- Oracle Database Administration Required 3 Years
- Creating databases, handling database backups and restore, copying
databases across servers
- Database Security
- Java, Perl, and Shell Scripting Highly desired
- Database and Server Performance and Tuning Highly desired 2 Years
- SQL Coding Required 2 Years
- Server Buildouts Nice to have
- Good Writing Skills Highly desired
- Strong Communication Skills Highly desired
