Default Sybase dated diff function fails - 07-20-2004 , 02:39 PM

In old Sybase versions there was an occasionally failure for the
datadiff function, does this still exists in the new Sybase versions?
is there any new issues ?
Any help would be great

Thanks
Teresa

What do you mean with 'failure'? Can you give an example?
Is this perhaps about integer overflow when comparing two datetime values
that are far apart?

I don't have an example at the moment, this was with old sybase
versions e.g. 11.5 and older. And yes it was about the integer
overflow when comparing 2 datetime values. Do you know if there is an
issue with the latest Sybase versions 12.5 x etc ?

Thank you
Teresa

I don't think anything has changed in 12.5.x...
