For what I remember it was possible to dump 11.9 and load the dump into
11.5 ASE. However, after a bunch of problems with such cases, Sybase
stubbed the dump/load in ASE 12.x with the error message 'bad magic
number' and it's no longer possible to execute this directly. |
I don't think it was ever possible to load a database to a server with a

I have a huge database running under 12.5 in one environment and need to
load it into 12.0 in another environment, both are very conservative,

Is there any other way to quickly throw the database across versions
than upgrade or bcp? |
You could investigate the sybmigrate tool that ships with 12.5.0.3 and
later.
