We have switched recently to Sybase Adaptive Server 12.5 from Firebird.
Our application has a lot of stored procedures and we need to port them to
Sybase. Using the Transact SQL User Guide that comes with Sybase we manage
to get up and walking. But we need to be up and running fast, so we need
a book about how to use TSQL (general concepts, tips & tricks, optimization,
Java integration, etc). |
Most of the Transact-SQL books available nowadays seems to be
slanted toward's MS SQL Server's flavour. Some will pay lip
service to ASE.

So if we have to buy a book on developing with Sybase which will it be ? |
I would recomend this - http://www.sypron.nl/ttr/
The ASE manuals are pretty good too. Look at the Performance and
Tuning Guide.
