Default How to implement Sybase two-phasecommits - 09-10-2004 , 02:13 PM






Does anyone know as how to implement two-phase commit in Sybase, this
is for version 12.0 on Solaris. I do know that in oracle this is
already by default but for Sybase I cant find much info on it

2-phase commit (also known as SYB2PC) has been supported in Sybase ASE for
many, many years (at least since version 4 in 1990). To use this, you must
perform certain library calls in you client application. For full details

Note that since ASE 12.0, you can also use distributed transactions with
ASE's DTM features. For details, go to sybooks.sybase.com/asg1251e.html and
read the document "Using Adaptive Server Distributed Transaction Management
Features".
