Default Encryption - 11-26-2008 , 03:24 PM






I have syabse 1.2.5.4 ESD5 version when I am trying to run this
command
sp_configure " enable encrypted columns ", 0
it is turning encryption on what could be the reason

I think you meant to say that it is "not" turning on encryption?

This is an optional feature that must be licensed separately (you have
to pay for it).
If you have purchased the license for it, are you getting any errors?

Perhaps you should post the actual session showing the
procedure being executed and the information returned?
