I want to mirror the tempdb on Unix box. I think I have to drop it the re-create it with disk mirror Please advise ASAP First, you cannot drop tempdb. Apart from that, disk mirroring applies to database devices, and therefore to databases that are (partly) located on a mirrored device; mirroring does not apply to databases directly. In any case, using Sybase's software-based disk mirroring will slow down the device I/O. For tempdb, this is perhaps not what you want.
