International financial firm, with one of the largest, most advanced Sybase
database environments in the world, is seeking a production DBA to join
their team. You will be responsible for logical/physical design,
performance tuning, backups, recoveries, and replication server in this
state-of-the-art Sybase UNIX (Solaris, AIX, Linux) environment. This is a
very entrepreneurial company that is constantly building new infrastructure

Requires:



A college degree in C.S. or related field.

5+ years of professional experience as a Sybase production DBA.

Strong experience with Sybase ASE, Replication Server.

Strong experience with Sybase performance tuning.

Strong UNIX experience.

Experience programming in scripting languages such as k-shell, c-shell, and
Perl.

Experience working in a financial transaction processing environment is
preferred.
