Default Best IDE for ASP.NET Development? - 01-27-2004 , 11:00 AM

I'm just getting my feet wet with ASP.NET and SQL Anywhere so please
excuse my ignorance ...

I have an SQL Anywhere 8.0 database for which I want to create dynamic
form-driven web reports on a Windows XP Pro platform. What's the best
tool to do this with? I would like something with a WYSIWYG interface
that will allow me to drag and drop controls, navigate the data
structures of my database, and help me assemble SQL queries.

I have looked at ASP.NET WebMatrix but I think it only works with SQL
Server, MSDE, and MS Access. Anything similar for SQL Anywhere?

P.S. It's got to be cheap, preferably even free like WebMatrix!!
Maybe two or more shareware tools + Notepad used together will give me
what I want. I would like to avoid expensive things like Visual
Studio and SQL Anywhere Studio if possible.

Thanks

- David
