Default Backup not working - 07-22-2004 , 09:31 AM

Hi gurus,
I've the following situation:

One Compaq Machine with Dual Xeon Processor, 4 GB of RAM, RedHat
Advanced Server 3.0, with SCSI controller linked to an external SAN.

I have the following ASE version:
Adaptive Server Enterprise/12.5.1/EBF 11666 ESD#2/P/Linux
Intel/Enterprise Linux/ase1251/1838/32-bit/OPT/Fri Feb 20 02:56:03 2004

and the following Backup Server:
Backup Server/12.5.1/EBF 11429/P/Linux Intel/Enterprise
Linux/ase1251/2268/32-bit/OPT/Wed Sep 17 04:17:09 2003

The problem is that when I try to dump a database:

dump database master to "/opt/sybase/master_22072004_1530.dump"

He starts dumping the database, but it seems that he can't enter the
final phase of the dump and remain there waiting for something that I
don't know.

Jul 22 15:26:49 2004: Backup Server: 6.28.1.1: Dumpfile name
'master042040D939' section number 1 mounted on disk file
'/opt/sybase/master_22072004_1530.dump'
Jul 22 15:26:49 2004: Backup Server: 4.58.1.1: Database master: 904
kilobytes DUMPed.
Jul 22 15:26:49 2004: Backup Server: 4.58.1.1: Database master: 1322
kilobytes DUMPed.
Jul 22 15:26:49 2004: Backup Server: 4.58.1.1: Database master: 1716
kilobytes DUMPed.
Jul 22 15:26:49 2004: Backup Server: 4.58.1.1: Database master: 2268
kilobytes DUMPed.

What can be????

I have an identical installation on the same OS on different machines
(IBM, connected to a SAN with a fiber channel controller) and everyhing
works perfectly.

Hope that someone will help me....
Bye
