I'm attempting to install EBF 11449 for Sybase ASE on a NEW W2K
Server. I have just completed the initial installation of the Sybase
Server using 12.5 install CD's. I keep getting an error on
sybevent.dll and sybperf12.dll indicating they are in use and can't be
overwritten. I've made sure all the sybase server entries in the
services area are turned off and have rebooted the system. Anyone
know why these file would be constantly in use and/or how to complete
the update? I have been able to copy all the other files of the EBF
into the sybase directory.

One other question, I attempted to run the setup program for EBF 11566
which I thought would take me to version 12.5.1 but after running
through the initial screens it indicates it will update 40mb of
information and then just flips to the "finished" screen without
applying any updates. Anybody had a similiar experience?

Most of my experience with Sybase is on a Sun so updating a windows
machine is a new experience, fortunately this is all just an initial
test.
