I am working on a project on developing an rdbms. I am in final year engg course in IT from mumbai university, mumbai, India. i have no prior experience in working on such a project. We are a group of 6 people, and we have decided to build 3 modules. The file manager, the buffer manager and the tranasction manager. But we are stuck, and kind of have no idea on how to proceed. We have referred books like Sudarshan & Korth; Elmasri & Navathe. A few insights would be very useful. Thank you. Hello, |

Hello, we are a company developing adminstrion software for various relational databases. Our product AlligatorSQL supports eight RDBMS. We know exactly, how RDBMS works. So here are some questions: Why do you use the relational way ? What´s about your parser module and your optimizer module ? Do you implement something like stored procedures ? Did you take a look at the internas of an open source RDBMS ? If you need further help, pls contact me at m.peter (AT) alligatorsql (DOT) com Best regards -- Manfred Peter Alligator Software Company GmbH Schulstraße 121a D-27726 Worpswede Mobil: +49(0)171/3435575 MailTo: m.peter (AT) alligatorsql (DOT) de Sitz der Gesellschaft: Worpswede eingetragen beim Amtsgericht Achim 16 HRB 6630 Geschaeftsfuehrer Manfred Peter |
