Where can i find info about promon?, I need to mention that my DB is in an UNIX IBM.

It's part of the product set.. It is a command line tool for monitoring the
database.. You can download the Progress documentation here:

There is also Fathom Management, a product from Progress for monitoring and
trending your database, CPU, disks, memory, etc. More information here:

Yes ... promon is the (old) standard monitoring tool for Progress. It'
quite fully documented in the Progress Database Admin manual.

If you want a REALLY cool monitor you can download "LockMon" fro
TechSmiths (www.techsmiths.com). It's a package of source code ..
plus a bit of documentation.

Well worth the trouble of putting it all together ... it's just grea
!! If you have your own developers then <lockmon> is almost essentia
-- because it'll find all the nastly things that developers do wit
locks and transaction scoping.
