I have problem with my server. It starts and die. In logs i have information FATAL: incorrect checksum in control file. I have searched internet and only situation which is connected with this error is moving the database from a 32-bit arch to a 64-bit arch. I did not take any action on the database. Appreciate for any other sollutions how to repair database or how to recover data and put it in new database. Linux version 2.6.16.45-1 (builder@aksjomat) (gcc version 3.3.6 (PLD Linux)) #1 Wed Mar 28 02:43:03 CEST 2007 psql (PostgreSQL) 8.2.3 contains support for command-line editing Seems like a file in pg_clog has become corrupted. Did anything happen since it worked the last time? Maybe your hard disk has a problem, you should check. I am afraid you will have to restore the database from a backup. Yours, Laurenz Albe File system and disk looks good. It was first thing that I checked. Is there any way to restore data from files? There is no backup ![]() |
