pljava for Postgres 8.4.1

I am unable to find the necessary package and the source code doesn't
compile. Does anybody know more?

You should post this to the Postgres mailing list (-general).

It is much more likely someone over there will now.

PL/Java should work with PostgreSQL 8.4, see the mailing list archives:

I pulled the source from CVS and it compiled fine (on my 32-bit
RedHat Linux system).
I didn't install and test it - I'll leave that to you.
