Oracle Buys EnterpriseDB

Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL) and EnterpriseDB announced today they
have entered into a definitive agreement under which Oracle will acquire
EnterpriseDB for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition of EnterpriseDB transforms the IT industry, combining
best-in-class enterprise software with the best among open source
databases. This brings a vibrant and creative open source community at
the doorstep of the enterprise class business users, said the Oracle CEO
Larry Ellison.
