I know backup and restoratio between Linux/Windows is fine, but what about Sun SPARC platform, SUN sparc is using BLOCK, which is different with window/linux's So can I restore windows' to SUN SPARC platform? |

I am not sure what you mean by "backup" and "restore". If you are talking about pg_dumpall, they yes, that will work from any platform to any other platform. If you are talking about pg_start_backup() - tar - pg_stop_backup(), then no, this will not work across platforms. Yours, Laurenz Albe |
