Default was this yahoo before - 02-22-2011 , 07:37 PM






Am I losing my mind or was this on yahoo groups before (haven't been
on for a while)? I hate Google groups with its captcha requirement
that takes me 4+ times to login. Any way around that?

Yeah, CDP isn't a Google Group, it's Usenet. You can read/write to
CDP from anywhere that allows r/w access to a Usenet feed (like
nntp.aioe.org). Google provides access to this forum as a service,
and to make people think they do a lot more than they really do. You
don't need to go through Google to get to CDP, unlike the forums that
actually are Google groups.

Google "neblog usenet" if there's confusion. My article on the topic
will probably be at the top of the list.

aah,,,thanks. I just googled comp.datbases.pick and the google groups
link was (natch) at the top
