Default wyse 60 setup for linux monitor - 02-12-2006 , 11:34 PM

Does any one know how to setup a pc monitor to a Wyse 60 emulation.
I wish to setup a Linux (redhat) pc as a dumb terminal using a Wyse 60
emulation
The application uses the Wyse 60 emulation for:
a) background, foreground and reverse video
b) printing to the ancillary port
Many thanks
Alan

George,

The standard Linux console operates as an ANSI (read VT-100 'style')
device. I'm not aware of any Linux programs that provide a Wyse60
emulator - though I'm sure they exist. I assume you are looking at
using the Linux box as a workstation, rather than this being the
console device for a server that is running your database?

Ditto problems with an "auxillary printer" - doesn't the
software allow additional terminal emulations/definitions? Or is it all
hard coded (yuk!?!)

Anyway, a quick GOOGLE gave me 50,000+ hits, and as I've heard of the
century (tinyTerm fame) name before, this might be a reasonable place
to start
