Default windows error in MVBASE - 11-29-2005 , 04:15 PM

I can not get any help worth a damn from Rainingdata so I thought I
would try here.

Running the most current version of MVbase on a windows 2000 server.

When I get this error in the event view of windows, the people on
MVbase can continue to work fine but anybody who tries to get connected
gets kicked off.

The only way to fix this is to bring down the server and back up, any
help at all would be helpful

[anyport] mvTelnet Server Error code is 10054. [MVWORKAPP.EXE,
0088, CiTelnetListener.CPP, 235]

No other problems with the server.
No other problems with MVbase.

From your earlier post concerning IP discovery and this one, I surmise you
have recently patched mvBase. If you patch the server but do not patch each
workstation (there is usually a workstation patch component) you end up with
telnet disconnects! Check to see if your latest patch contained the
workstation component and apply it to all workstations connecting to mvBase.

No I have not recently patched MVbase.

And how would I patch a workstation?..when I use VIA to connect and
straight telnet.

I have been having this problem since I got MVbase and can not get a
clear answer.

Usually this error starts with my wireless connections. I am thinking
it might have something to do with the DHCP and some of the fixed ports
that I have.

Hi there,

Exactly which version of mvBASE are you running is it 1.3.02 or v2?

If it 1.3.02. then there are comms issues I believe if mvBASE is running as
a service
