Default Who is the disgruntled poster? - 10-18-2005 , 05:29 PM

Does anyone know who tronic5 is? Maybe if we "out" him, he will figure
out how to channel his bitterness elsewhere or else hold productive
discussions to fix whatever is ailing him (but maybe not).

He's Dan Fisher. Sure would be great if he could sort himself out - or
at least stay away until he does.

Dan's posts here have much to say about Dan's problems and have little
or no relevance to Pick databases or the wider interests of the Pick
community.

Mike.

PS. The Conservative government in the UK had this really bad idea a
while back. They called it "Care in the community". What it really
amounted to was a way to save government expenditure on psychiatric
healthcare by simply emptying out the psychiatric wards onto the
streets. Consequently the public at large was suddenly faced with
having to deal with unhinged individuals on a routine basis. People
didn't want - and weren't trained - to deal with severly disturbed
individuals, they just wanted to get on with their lives as best they
could. As a result many of the former patients were subjected to
violence and some of them inflicted violence on others. Didn't do
anyone any good.

Unfortunately for Dan and for us, when he does have something to contribute,
no one takes him seriously.

That's terrific.

But your ramblings about who screwed you and when, well, to be brutally
honest, nobody here really gives a shit.

You have to do what you have to do.....a lawsuit here and
there....fine, just leave it the hell off this message board.

Like someone said, when you do (finally) have something to contribute,
nobody pays it any attention because of the other crap you post on
here. You've been a Pickie for 18 years and are obviously good at what
you do, just like the rest of us. But this other crap is irrelevant
and irritating.

Get a grip, handle whatever it is you have to handle and get a freakin'
life, brother.

Just leave your personal shit to yourself.

The rest of you are employed as pickies I am just the person who
wouldn't play the agencies sick fucking game anymore (you will).

Thanks Mike.

Likely a lost cause, but I'm in the mood, so here it goes ...

OK, Dan. Clearly you want us to make your problem our problem by
beating on the list. OK, let's say that at least some of us take on
some amount of pain from your postings. We wish things had been
different for you too. But we cannot change history, so now what's the
game plan? You are not doing yourself any favors with these postings.
If someone asks me if I want to partner with Dan Fisher on a project,
you can guess my answer.

Is it alcohol, some other drug, or a brain chemistry problem due to
stress or an inability to move on or what? (I'm no doctor, obviously).
I suggest you start by getting your brain back in top form where it has
no need for this self-destructive list behavior and you can look to the
future instead of the past. There are any number of ways to approach
that -- google can help you find them. You have professional
experience as a problem solver. I know this is a difficult problem,
but I'm guessing you are smart enough to figure out how to get whatever
assistance you need to fix it.

Once you are back to being the person you want to be in this virtual
community, let us know so we can welcome you back instead of being
disgusted, as I'm guessing you are, with your behavior.

Best wishes. --dawn

Dawn, I believe his name is Daniel Fisher. He's embittered by events
which took place years ago with a former employer which he references
often - people who are now working in other companies and this is all
ancient history for them. Whatever his original gripes, he has since
completely ruined any chance of getting work in this community with
his ongoing rants. It's impossible to "out" him, he rants in other
forums just like he does here. He has obvious issues that are either
caused by drugs or that drugs don't seem to cure.

I delete anything with his name on it before reading it. I simply
don't waste my time. I won't see anything he writes unless some known
and trusted colleague quotes him. This is a shame because I know he's
posted one or two intelligent quotes in the past but his unsocial
behavior makes those few gems not even worth looking for. (Someone
might have the same to say for me, I dunno.)

I recommend a delete/ignore policy, just let him waste his time.
There's nothing that we can do to stop him, despite supposed
Acceptable Use Policies at Google, AOL, etc. Such is the state of the
Net.

YMMV
