Default Where is any documentation for the intrinsic C functions of flash-basic? - 01-06-2006 , 02:08 PM

D3/NT Release 7.4.3

I've googled this one to death, and asked Raining Data directly, and cannot
find a list of the intrinsic C functions to use with Flash Basic

Is there a link to that html version of the pick reference manual

http://www.rainingdata.com/support/t.../apprm006.html

anywhere on RD's website?

Also, there is Sierra Bravo's D3 ref site:

Hmmm, cheeky. Taking Jon Sisk's / Raining Data's help text and
converting it to HTML. Helpful, but is it quite kosher?

The phrase "that comes with D3" is not quite correct.
But, if you want to let go of just a few well spent dollars,
see this Web site:
http://www2.ondemandmanuals.com/rainingdata

The D3 Reference Manual Set is invaluable to any developer or end user:
Raining Data - D3 Reference Manual Set (2 Books), by Raining Data
Corporation, 1004 pages, perfect bound, catalogue no. 01-0106, ISBN
1-55212-707-9, US$95.00, C$146.30, EUR95.10, £66.00

Hi Rob.

What is it specifically that you want to achieve using the intrinsic C
functions? I/O? Sockets?

The printed documentation has some errors which can lead to a
frustrating waste of time.

Tha's correct. Just ask the questions here and/or in the RD forums.

Books OnLine _does_ come with all D3 systems. It's on the install
CD/tape. It's also downloadable for free from the RD FTP site.

The ondemandmanuals are for hardcopy OffLine documentation.

Luke:

Hell yea! :-)

Besides, the product is given away by RDUS and, in fact, they could easily
have done what these good people have done. RDUS only uses it at all
because people want to be able to type "HELP LOCATE" at tcl. :-)

This is just another example of why it's difficult to use/develop on an MV
product. Documentation is in multiple forms with different stuff in each
different documentation package. :-(
