I went to http://www.maverick-dbms.org/ and don't see any activity but someone told me a couple of months ago that things were happening with the product (and I cannot recall who told me that). Is there any active work on that product? When is the last time there was a build and is that build available? Thanks. --dawn |

Dawn, I checked last August. Robert responded he was quite busy also that he was working 2 jobs to put away some money for a trip to Europe. On January 12, 2006 he posted a new release. So I guess were still in business. |

I too have been following the MaVerick project since it started. I am now in position to dig into it. Hope I'm not disappointed. MaVerick Archive http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/f...maverick-devel |

With the exception of a Java base and Open Source for Windows, what else could Maverick offer that OpenQM does not? |
Maverick has never quite captured the imagination of MV users outside of a tiny circle. Maybe it's time to give Maverick a respectful burial and just acknowledge that OpenQM is _the_ OSS MV platform around which people should rally. |
If someone needs an alternative to OpenQM in terms of cost, support, etc, there's always OpenInsight which is now available for Linux too. So we really do have very two affordable, low/no cost deployment solutions to rival the bigger players. |
I'm all in favor of having more than one way to do things, more than one offering in the market, etc. But given the above considerations, I just don't see much purpose in keeping Maverick around anymore. |
