.... and if you can't wait, or if the product never makes it out of the
lab, don't forget to put Visage on your "must see" list - active
dictionary integration (dictionary changes reflected immediately in all
screens & reports), EXTENSIVE support for multi-values (100+ levels
deep, so we can handle "strange & exotic" legacy structures), real
drag'n'drop development, integral SMART code editor (for those
times when you HAVE to write real code) and an easy to understand BASIC
interface that doesn't require you to have pre-knowledge of working
with convoluted common block structures .... You can even do the
"zooming" that Update is famous for (driven by the dictionary, but
you can over-ride - programmatically the routine is called wl.zoom
->, so as you can see, we don't mind WHERE a good idea comes from :-)

Tom,

We at U2logic have been working towards this goal for almost a year
now. We have developed our entire tool set based on Eclipse - an open
development platform. We have a source code editor, an object edtior,
a package installer, and a web developer. These products are free to
the Unidata/Universe community. Please give these a try and see what a
full tool set can do for you. Our download instructions are posted on
our web site at www.u2logic.com under the downloads menu.

Hi Ross,

How about a GUI design environment based upon predictable, stable,
standards compliant technology?
