Was our friend using one of these printers? Anyway, the point is D3/AP etc
must still be sending out a stream of trailing nulls at the end of a print
job; effectively the same as it did > 10 years ago....

If the nulls were not being sent, this thread would not even exist.

Given the nulls are generally erroroneous (or at least 2 in a row would
be...); perhaps the data stream should always have nulls stripped out as you
describe? Great if using o/s like Unix & Linux. Sucks if you are on
Windoze!!
