Hi I have a Mentor Pro system running on a Pentium machine that was put in during 1999. I want to replace the hardware and wonder if anyone has experience with the current Intel machines running Mentor Pro, from a compatibility point of view. I think the version is 4.1, but I'm only speaking from memory. I can't get access to the machine without driving to it. From past experience Mentor Pro was always great at supporting new hardware, without updating it. I may consider replacing the O/S and running Windows but my first preference is to replace the processor. Thanks |

Not sure if MP would support new hardware or not! The best bet would be to upgrade to mvBASE (on Windows 2003 server) - which will have almost 100% compatibility with MP or to migrate to another MV product - D3/jBASE/OpenQM for example. |

Will mvBASE even be around for that much longer? I'd be a little concerned about that choice. The others are all fine choices, but mvBASE? Luke |

Just a thought and I don't know if it will work but have you considered VMware? -Bob Coleman/PDX OR "Steven" <jddadksadsad (AT) dcjnadhsakhdsa (DOT) com> wrote in message news:_e-dnf2WAJkmyy_ZRVnyiQ (AT) eclipse (DOT) net.uk...
