you can write data on the fly from a dictionary
so you can write programs to update databases from simple selects

in fact i have never done this but often thought about it
it is available through sql but i'm not sure if you can write directly
from a dictionary (within code)

it could be damaging to your database but very good for transaction
logging i'm sure

i have set up transaction logging systems before using this approach
