Hi
We are currently upgrading from unidata 4.1 to 6.1.
Is it necessary to recompile our current unibasic programs?
Many Thanks

no but the compiler in v6.1 is a lot better |
No, you don't have to. Yes, you should, and not
just because the compiler is enhanced.
Murphy's Law tells us:
1) you will be recompiling, ...and either...
2a) it won't compile ...or...
2b) it will compile, but run differently.
This is the Science.
The Art: How do address this eventuality?
My take is: fix it, and fix it now. Another
theory is: don't fix what's not broke, because
it could run forever without fixing.
I'd be interested to hear what the OP did.
