Default Unidata Uniobjects and vb .net advise.... - 09-13-2006 , 05:58 AM

Hello,

Sorry if this is not a relevent post to this group but I am not really
sure where else to post to....Be nice.....please....

I work for a company that uses unidata and I would like to learn about
accessing the data from vb.

I had been playing with vb6.0 and did have some success using the vb
examples.....

But, I would really like to learn using vb .net

I have uniobjects for .net from the UniDK cd but all the examples are
in C# so I really don't have a clue......

Would anyone be able to offer me any advise please ?

Regards,
Lantusman

Hello Lantusman, the latest SDK does have both c# and vb examples.
However it is fairly easy to swap between the two as it is the same
classes, so it is only syntax changes which should be fairly obvious.

I will email you a a zip of the vb examples if that is ok ....

PS - the best place to post questions on anything unidata related is
the u2 email list.

Subscription instructions are posted here
http://u2ug.org/index.php?module=Con...20Menu&meid=14

Personnaly i dislike the whole email list way of doing things, but the
channel is devoted to universe and unidata and has some very
knowledgable people on it. This group is good for more general topics
and anything Pick/D3 related.
