Default Trial U2/Universe Passwords - 07-08-2006 , 04:03 PM

I'm just trialling U2/Universe 10.1 on XP, which seems to run just
fine.

Two questions :

- How can I buy a 5 user licence in the UK ?
- I need to know the default password to do anything useful, for
example create an account or telnet in

I've spent around 6 hours trying to get off the ground so far, so any
help much appreciated.

Tony

I don't know the answers to your questions, but have you considered
OpenQM?

I'd imagine Ladybridge Systems (www.ladybridge.com) in Northampton
will see you set for UniVerse....... Don't be surprised at what else
they have to offer...

The user needs to be an XP user. You need to set up a user (and
password) for XP first, then that becomes your UniVerse Login and
Password.... (

Good luck

I know it may be an obvious statement, but you can only do all of this
with XP pro - XP home doesn't have the login features.

Tony,

The user name & password required are "normal" windows creditentials.
If your windows XP machine is "stand alone", just go & create the users
using the windows tools under computer management .... same deal (sort
of) if running in a domain

Once you pass "logon", you will be asked for which account to log into
- UV is a good place to start (but don't delete too many files !)

The people we use(d) are Jeffreys Systems, http://www.jefsys.co.uk/
based in Hampshire. They're a pretty decent bunch - I've personally
dealt with them (and their predecessor company) for about 20 years,
though I must admit we haven't needed them much over that time.

Cheers,
Wol
