I am trying to connect via telnet to D3 on my local machine using localhost and port 23. I get this message: SecureCRT - Version 6.7.1 (build 188) [LOCAL] : Stream has closed [CLOSE_TYPE_NONSPECIFIC] : The remote system refused the connection. I can connect using D3's telnet client and Putty with no problem - just not SecureCRT. Has anyone seen this before? I'm running: WinPatrol v 20.5.2011.0 SuperAntiSpyware 5.0.1118 Microsoft Security Essentials I have turned them all off and got the same result. Thanks, Charlie Noah |

Perhaps "Secure" CRT defaults to SSH? *SSH is port 22. Charlie Noah wrote: I am trying to connect via telnet to D3 on my local machine using localhost and port 23. I wonder what port it's listening on... on XP at least, *netstat */an * * * at a command prompt {'dos' window} shows listening ports {well, "A"ll ports including listening ones}, run that with, and without, Jbase running for a clue. |

Hi Ross, I assume you're referring to my capitalization. Since I had a stroke 6 years ago, I have only my left hand to use on the keyboard. Because I was right-handed, that has been an adjustment to say the least. I'm lucky to be able to do any capitalization, and most people are tolerant of my typing Jbase instead of jBASE (that was fun - not). If I assume (yeah, I know) incorrectly, my profound apologies. If you're wondering why I mention Jbase in a D3 forum, they are both multivalue, and I use both. Regards, Charlie Noah |
