Default Spectrum - 02-28-2007 , 06:04 PM

I'll be at the conference, assisting Nathan as required, and "cruisin
and shmoozin" when possible. I'm looking forward to seeing whomever
shows up.

A few years ago we did a round table initiated by Bob Marik to discuss
the possibility of an open source MV application. I'd like to see
similar discussions amongst colleagues about GUI, business concerns,
confidence in the MV marketplace, state of third-party offerings,
software quality, and other things. We often discuss such things here
but in this medium we often lose focus and there's not enough
opportunity for people to explain their needs and solutions.

If people here are interested in discussing specific topics, I'll ask
Nathan to announce an off-schedule session for us - we'll decide where
based on numbers.

Regards,
Tony Gravagno

I'd love to participate but I can't make it to Spectrum this
year...new job, no vacation time! If you're able to get a group
togther, I'd be very interested in the topics/opinions discussed.

I would have liked to go to Spectrum again this year, but I'd miss my
almost 4 year old's birthday, and since I missed it (by a day - didn't
miss the party) last year, I really couldn't this year... (I'm also
kind of far away... in Spain!)

I hope that I'll see some of the fun people I met last year and two
years ago at Spectrum, at the end of March in Orlando, at
InterSystem's Developer's Conference!

I'd like to be a part of that meeting. Maybe you could give it a name
so we will recognize the meeting announcement when it appears at the
conference.

Thanks for heading this up Tony.

Tony,

Good idea. The last such meeting I attended was back at the Pick user
conference in '99 at Huntington Beach --> some good outcomes and a
"shake up" in South Africa.

Looking at the Grid, Friday afternoon seems the most likely contender,
though you will loose some to the U2 certification exams (maybe).

I think its best to do this during the conference.

The exhibits close at 5pm on Wed & Thurs, maybe we could do it then
for an hour or so.

We will have a room on Wednesday from 1pm until at least 2pm.
We'll put faces to the names for those of us who haven't yet done so,
and then the session will be open to whomever is present to discuss
specific topics, grind axes, or whatever.

Thanks for the interest!
T

Correction to the time below - it's 3-4pm - after ice cream...
