Tony,

Will try our best to be in attendance.

Am currently taking some training from Masters Sisk & Rodstein, who
from what I understand will make an appearance during the week. I am
bringing a colleague (.net progammer) from my company, so any and all
insight will be appreciated.

Best regards,
Roger

I'll be at the conference, assisting Nathan as required, and "cruisin
and shmoozin" when possible. I'm looking forward to seeing whomever
shows up.

A few years ago we did a round table initiated by Bob Marik to discuss
the possibility of an open source MV application. I'd like to see
similar discussions amongst colleagues about GUI, business concerns,
confidence in the MV marketplace, state of third-party offerings,
software quality, and other things. We often discuss such things here
but in this medium we often lose focus and there's not enough
opportunity for people to explain their needs and solutions.

If people here are interested in discussing specific topics, I'll ask
Nathan to announce an off-schedule session for us - we'll decide where
based on numbers.

You mean you are a booth bunny, right Ross?

I never say I'm "manning a booth."

The time was chosen specifically to allow vendors to spend some time
at their booths before taking a break, perhaps assigning someone else
to hold down the fort for a while. Lots of people have lunch and
dinner plans so other hours won't work for some people.

Aint no perfect solution.

Correction to the time below - it's 3-4pm - after ice cream...
And that'll probably preclude me from participating. Gotta catch a
flight around that time. We'll see... Would love to spend some time
meeting new people and reacquainting myself to current friends. See
y'all at Spectrum!

Sorry, But I don't have anyone to man my booth at that hour (or any
other hour for that matter).

Hello Tony,
Good luck with your meeting. I'm sorry I am unable to attend Spectrum
this year but I was glad to see you are pursuing a roundtable
discussion. I believe at our last discussion, attended by about 5
persons, at Spectrum in Las Vegas, we decided to do some followup but
I think I may have dropped the ball.

From the above postings, it appears there is still interest but that
many of those interested won't be able to attend the roundtable
discussion for a variety of reasons.
Perhaps the first order of business should be to determine the forum
for discussion. CDP seems to be well read by most of the persons that
would be interested in contributing but may be difficult to organize
and record information by topic, etc. I am not up to speed on the use
of Blogs but would your Blog (or someone else's) be a better forum or
maybe Glen's website. A way to record person's expressing interest
would be good and if we don't do it through CDP, we should post a
summary periodically on CDP of topics to get more persons involved.
In summary, it would be of interest to myself (and others who have
express interest but can't attend the roundtable) to post the results
of the roundtable on CDP.
Again, good luck and I hope to see you at the Designbais conference
in April at Las Vegas.
Bob Marik

There was not enough 'available interest' on Wednesday, so the discussion
was cancelled. I had to leave early this morning, so I don't know if another
discussion was attempted. I'm open to a chat based group discussion later
next week. We can discuss up and coming things, current/future technology,
and also reflections on sessions attended. Many of those things can be
combined into a single topic and staged into many "round table" discussions.

BTW: it was great seeing familiar faces and also putting quite a few
familiar names with faces this year. I probably won't be posting any kind of
summary articles on PickSource this year, but I'd be more than happy to
offer info on what I've seen/heard this year via e-mail.
