Okay Nikita,
Here's a project for you.
The College I teach at is being forced to convert from Peoplesoft version
7.6 to Peoplesoft Version 8.0. It seems the vendor does not support version
7.6 any more.
Question:
Why does it take 1 year to convert from Peoplesoft Version 7.6 to Peoplesoft
Version 8.0?
Why does every user have to be 'retrained?' in the new version of
Peoplesoft?
Why would anyone ever buy Peoplesoft in the first place?
P.S.: If you think it's only colleges that suffer this way, consider that I
also have a D3 client
who runs some financials on Peoplesoft. They are doing the same process.
They have to
Visit every process they developed and re-create them in version 8.0.
They're smaller so it won't take a year. They did however have to buy a new
dual Intel
CPU server with huge amounts of raid storage.
