Default So Long, and Thanks For All the Fish - 08-07-2006 , 07:49 AM

I was 65 on July 14th and am retiring from active work. Actually I can't
quite stop completely, as I have some work to finish off for a couple of
customers.

So I'm leaving Pick and c.d.p. after many years involvement. I'll miss it
but have got a number of other things I want to do.

I first read about Pick in a series of articles written by David O'Byrne
in Dataweek. Then I heard about Revelation, and met Andrew McAuley and
David Edkins who had an office not far from where I worked at the time.
The Poly then bought a copy which ran on an IBM PC with an external 20Mb
drive. We then moved on to an Altos & a C.Itoh.

I really want to say a heartfelt thanks for all the help that I have
received over the years. Too many people to name individually, but I hope
that the others will not mind if I single out Malcolm Bull and TonyG.

I'm shutting down my d3 system entirely now and have a number of books,
manuals and software that I would like to dispose of. Software, obviously,
subject to any license transfer terms, but none of it is running on my
computer. The software includes Revelation, Pick, System Builder, The
Programmers Helper & some miscellaneous stuff.

I won't post the list of material here,as it runs to about 4 pages. If
anyone is interested, then drop me an email & I'll send it to you.
Anything I don't get rid of via c.d.p., I'll put on ebay, but I would
rather it went to friends first.

Best wishes

Good luck to you Alan. I'd like a copy of the software and O/S systems
you have. I enjoyed doing business with you over the years. Best to
you and yours. - Steve Alexander (sanadoOMITTHIS*at*san.rr.com)

You lucky dog you! <LOL!>

Seriously, good luck to you and enjoy yourself! Life is too short to take

Alan

Good luck with retired life, I'm only 29 odd years behind you.

Thanks for all your contributions over the years.
