Hi, We are getting our SB+ users frozen, and the U2 server is unresponsive. To illustrate, consider the scenario where we have 4 PCs, and 5 UV licenses on the server. All PCs logged in, UV License count=4 PC1, 2 and 3 freeze, License count=4 PC4 running normally. PC1 is the first to notice the freeze, so PC1 kills off SB+ session in task mgr: UV license count=4 (does not decrement) PC1 relog, License count = 5, PC1 continue to freeze, so PC1 again kills off SB+ session in task mrg: UV license count=5 (does not decrement) PC1 now not able to log in again as UV license count=5 On the Server the administrator logs out PC2 License count=5 (not the PC that caused the freeze) PC1 unable to relog in. On the Server the administrator logs out PC1 License count=5 (not the PC that caused the freeze) On the Server the administrator logs out PC3 License count=5 (not the PC that caused the freeze) On the Server the administrator logs out PC4 (is the PC that caused the freeze) License count=0 (Server is able to execute all the commands previously issued by clearing off PC4, including the logging off of 2 x PC1, PC2 and PC3) All users relog back in, and system functions okay (until the next freeze) Has anyone experinced this before? Does anyone know how to identify the only responsive PC - if I can find it then I can kill it off and restore the system very quickly. Thanks Terry |

Hi Terry, just curious, when PC1 logs back in for the first time at what point does the session freeze? Is it logging in the account, logging into SB+ or using a screen/report/etc? I presume you have checked the locks when the freeze happens? Is this a new application, an application that has been moved from another UV server or an application that has been in use for a while and this freezing has just started? Regards, Dean.
