I did not know it, it seems it is there some time ago. Many times i
need to resize the fof. There were and old way, by debugging, of doing
that. Now Robert Burke has answer this question in RD forums. There is
a new way of doing it:

We added the ability to resize the file-of-files a while ago. On
7.4.2, try:
resize file-of-files 1123
