Hi Peter Surely you don't have to re-install AP or APPro, if you have a Floppy drive on your XP Pro machine, the T-Load should work fine. If you don't come right you are welcome to ship the floppies to South Africa. I keep a brand new floppy drive in stock for exactly this reason. Diets |

Hello group! I have two types of (LEAGAL) Pick licenses dating back to the 90's. They are AP/DOS and AP PRO. They are no longer installed on any computer. Can I install any of the two and get an authorization number from Raining Data? Will they charge me a fee to reinstall after so many years? I need to reinstall Pick to T-LOAD a file that is on 18 floppies. I believe the T-DUMP was created on a R83 system or later. All I know is that the OS was also Pick. Thanks, Peter |

Diets, I'm not sure what you are saying. I have PCs with floppies drives running NT, XP, 98, DOS and Linux. I also have active versions of Universe, Unidata and QM. (Unfortunately, none of these databases can T-LOAD from an old Pick floppy).I don't need the actual floppy drive. The floppies I'm trying to T-LOAD where Pick formated. This means that there is no FAT (File Allocation Table) and XP Pro doen't read Pick floppies. Thanks, Peter Hi Peter Surely you don't have to re-install AP or APPro, if you have a Floppy drive on your XP Pro machine, the T-Load should work fine. I would suggest loading AP/DOS, as it came with enough users to accomplish your task, was designed to run under windows (although I believe it's 16-bit) but should run. Try to load it on the oldest version of windows you have. An old W95 box would be best. Ap/Pro is it's own operating system and will require at least a partitian if not the entire box which requires formatting, and I'm not certain AP/Pro would understand some of our new gigabyte drives. Mark AP/DOS will load and work on WindowsXP Home or Pro versions. And the |
