Question: Is there some way to create a dictionary synonym that
combines a translation to another file AND a slimy hack such as above
to retrieve the last multivalue, or should I resign myself to a Basic

Ahh, here we are again on the topic of translates to a multi-valued
attribute. I'll say it again, this is the most frequently requested
feature I've ever seen for D3. It's not implemented because (so I've
been told) people are afraid it might break a ton of other fragile
code that's at that layer. If you want the feature, file a request
with RD. The only alternative at the moment is using BASIC - or
duplicating data through use of triggers.

Or..... Start your query from the "other" file, the one where you want
the last attr from, and come backwards, translating into "this"
file... See if the translates don't get too complicated that
way....???

Or, use a DICT CALL and PickBasic code.....???

Or REFORMAT, or whatever, one or both files into a temporary or work
file to give you simple DICT items for your query.....????

Or, <AD> Come on over to QM </AD> ... <grin>. Didn't think you
were going to get way from that, did you?
