I tried with tcp adress or actual "name" and none of them
worked!

Any other idea?

thanks a lot for your answer.

I gave a try to jd3 and got this strange message when
running d3server :

:d3server -d -port 20002

Privileged Opcode @ BR_UNIX_BIX:000


O=Logoff / Q=Quit / <CR>=Go to debugger ?

and from there, anything I do, type would lead to

:j-status
No server started

What should I check to start things right?

When you compile the Jd3 programs, use the "o" (as in Ocean) option.
I don't recall what the file name is but the command looks like this:

compile bp (o)

If that's not the problem then maybe Christophe (author of JD3) has
advice.
