Default pseudo0 reel 2 ?? - 04-05-2007 , 10:12 AM

trying to move an account from one d3 machine to another by copying
the pseudo0 file then attaching it on the new machine.
i then do a set-device, and account restore and it gets so far and
then prompts for reel 2 !!! there was no reel 2 when it backed up
what gives ?

Did you do a T-DET before you moved the file? I didn't recently and
experienced the same symptom.

You will always get this message if you attempt to read a file that doesn't
really exist in the path you specified.

I do this a lot to move accounts around between live and test machines, so I
know it works. Just make sure you detach the tape from the creator, as that
keeps the file "locked" at the windows level, and that you do a T-VERIFY
(FANT after the save and that you make sure the file is in the proper place
when you attach it in the second computer. You CAN use network references,
so the file doesn't have to physically exist on the system, it just has to
be available on the network.
