Default PRINT WIZARD - 07-07-2006 , 03:04 PM

Anyone out there familiar with printwizard from anzio?

On a Windows Jbase system I am attempting to use printwiz to print an
overlay for an invoice form and then send the invoice data to the
printer with the printwiz overlay on each page. How would one do that?

Richard, why are you asking Bob about this?

I'd be interested in your experience. I've heard nothing but good
things about Print Wizard but lack the time and demand to do my own
research.

Bob who? I was asking the CDP group. From what I saw of the product it
semed real good. But I am first starting to use it now. I'll give you a
better idea in a few days.

Bob Rasmussen who wrote, sells, and supports Print Wizard.
In other words, for HowTo questions, contact the vendor. I understand
you're just asking a generic question, but if you're interested in
answers more than the social commentary you'll get here then ask the
people who actually support the software.

Especially if you're evaluating software it would be helpful to see
how the vendor performs. I have no doubt that Bob/Anzio will perform
as any of us would hope and expect.

Just to clear up a point here, I'll quote your initial response...

A simple typo - you meant to type "aren't", but typed "are" instead -
hence the misunderstanding.

Thanks Luke!

Ahha, now I understand why you were confused about me being confused.
Yes, I already have a call into Bob, but he is not available until
Monday. I was hoping to get an answer on Friday. But I can wait.

Rick,

I'm using PrintWizard for quite a time, but never needed to use
overlays. I would suggest to follow along the manual and/or samples,
which IMHO are exceptionally useful in getting things of particular
interest right.

My experience with PW shows that everything I needed to achieve was
easily done based upon the information contained in the sources I've
just mentioned.

HTH

Rick,
Nikolai is right. The printwizard manual is full of examples. the switch overlay=filename.ext is used in the command line and specifies that an overlay is to be used. From what i understand that overlay can be a gif, jpg or prn file (the prn having been priorly created by outputting an image to disk using an hp pcl printer driver).
