I have a client running D3Linux 7.1 on RH 6.2. They are using a Windows
software program for their proposals and want to use the INVT file in their
D3 application for that Windows program in Real Time. Can this be done?

Using the ODBC client, you can access the D3 database from Windows
Applications as long as the application is able to draw data through
standard ODBC drivers. If you want more detailed information, we really need
more information about the applications in question and about the layout of
the INVT file.

Not forgetting Samba of course. D3/Linux will be able to see and use
the same file as the windows software does if it's on a Samba share.
It will have to be in a format that windows can use of course.

ODBC, or if the Windows app can use a third-party DLL or some other
COM interface then it's possible to forward requests for data into D3.
I've done this a few times. Always happy to work with you Richard.
