Fred,

We use the Symbol 1550 running Palm. It has a bar code scanner and signature
capturability. When you do a hot-sync it loads a bit map image of the
signature into a file on the PC. After that you have to decide what to do
with it!

We are running an Order Entry application and uploading and downloading data
is a snap.

Steve

How are you uploading and downloading the pick data to the 1550, also
is there an application that is running on the 1550 and if so, what
type of language is it programmed in?

Tablet PC's are designed to use the pen as a standard input device,
sort of a combination of a mouse and a keyboard. Signature capture is
just another "ink-aware" application. If you're familiar with .NET
development then you can just use the Tablet PC API for creating a
client interface that uses the pen. If you want to do handwriting
recognition or capture and process a signature for validation as a
login mechanism, then more code will certainly be involved.

This URL leads to more info for developers.

Or try Google and use keywords "tablet signature".

If you want an interface coded for your MV application then drop me a
note and I should be able to help.
