Default PGP encryption with mvEnterprise - 06-08-2007 , 01:50 PM

I am trying to get PGP encryption working with mvEnterprise running
on
an AIX 5.3 machine. The PGP application runs fine when I am logged
into root but when I shell down from mvEnterprise, I get an error
about not being able to locate the public key. Has anyone tried to
do
this and gotten it to work?

If you shell down and do whoami, I'll bet your not root. If not, figure
out where the public key goes for the root user, and copy it to the same
directory for your current user, as determined by whoami.

Art,

Also, I don't know what environment you're working in Unix/Linux/Windows but
on my unix box I had to add a couple enviroment variables for PGP. I think
it was "PGPPATH", that seem to cure most of the issues I had.

Feel free to contact offline if you feel the need don at

the email address.

Art,

I tried this and mvEnterprise does shell down as root.

Art and Don,

Thank you both for your postings. They got me to thinking and I found
my issue. There was a pgp.cfg file located in the directory
mvEnterprise shells down to. Once I got this set correctly, all
started working. Again, thank you both for your help.
